Bruce & Jenn's Great Northern Adventure is coming to an end... we've sold Golden Eagle Camp! When we bought the camp in 2009, we planned to spend 10 years here. But the right buyers came along just a little early. Mike & Liz Young from Hamilton, Ontario will officially take over on Wednesday.
We've had a great life here, even better than expected! By far the best thing about owning a lodge is the all the fantastic friends we've made...friends we hope to have forever. It's been a lot of work, but it's very rewarding to see guests come back year after year, watch the children grow up, and be a little part of the family. We're extremely grateful to our loyal guests for making the camp what it is today and making our time here so memorable.
To help the new owners get settled, we'll stay on for a couple more weeks before heading back to Nova Scotia for good. We won't be completely retired... plan to stay in tourism, just something easier to manage. We've purchased an old Victorian house as a vacation rental, as well as 75 acres along an ATV trail for “glamping” domes. We sincerely thank everyone for their past business! Hope our paths cross again! All the best, Bruce & Jennifer
