We're now recycling!

The town of Matachewan has just started a recycling program.  So each cottage will have a blue bin.  Pick up will be every 2 weeks, so we'll be setting up a holding area at the camp.  A little more work, but worth it for our environment!

Opening Day Success!

Our hunters hung 3 moose on Opening Day of the rifle hunt last Saturday.  The Kennedy group got a bull and a cow in WMU 28 and Meek's group got a bull in WMU 40.  Great job guys!

Junior Bassmasters

When the Junner kids weren't playing at the beach, they were perfecting their fishing techniques.  This is the second nice bass they landed and proudly ran to the store for pictures.  Great little anglers!

Bugs may be bad, but the fish are biting!

Light rain all day, but a good day to fish!  Congrats to Craig
for pulling in this 9 lb pike on Sydney Creek.

The camp is officially open for the Summer season!  Jay from Ohio caught this nice 5.5 lb bass, and some brave souls hit the waterslide yesterday.  Fun times ahead!

Snowmobile Trails Officially Open

We've been snowmobiling up here since December, but the trails are opening later than usual.  Some warm weather didn't help, a new bridge had to be put in on the A Trail to Elk Lake, and groomer breakdowns slowed things down.  But everything now is groomed and signed - trail conditions are great.  Come up and play!

Brrrrrrr!!

-40 degrees is way too cold to snowmobile, ice fish or anything outdoors!  Our little white dog wears a hunter orange coat so she doesn't get lost.  The air is thick with a frosty fog.  Can't wait for Summer!
