Outpost Cabin Makeover

Some fresh paint and a change of furniture has made the outpost cabin nice and cozy.  It's boat-in only, no electricity or running water... in a beautiful secluded spot.  Good fishing and all the peace & quiet you could ask for!

We're now OPEN!

The camp is officially open for business!  We normally open May 15, but it's been a nice early Spring.  No more ice on the river and water pipes are thawed out.  Look forward to seeing our first guests for some Spring fishing!

Spring is here!

The snow is melting fast and the river is starting to flow again.  We're working hard to get the camp re-opened.  Can't wait to see our guests again!

We're closed this Winter season...

We're taking some time off and are closed to guests this Winter, reopening May 2015.  Many thanks to the sledders who have visited us in past seasons.  Happy Holidays!

A New Ontario Bow Record? 460 lbs!!

This big bear was spotted on the game cameras and nicknamed "Scarface" due to the big jagged scar across the side of his head.  Mark, a skilled hunter who has been coming to Golden Eagle Camp for 18 years, shot him with a bow on August 28.  Scarface weighed in at 460 pounds!  We'll see if he's one for the records books after the skull dries out for a couple of months and gets measured.  Good job Mark!

ATV RENTALS!

We are pleased to announce that we now have 2014 Yamaha Kodiak 450 ATVs for our guests to rent.  Great for hunters to get deeper in the bush, transportation to a remote lake, or simply to explore the Northern Ontario wilderness!
